Why me · the parallel

Performance advertising isn't a sale and a renewal. Neither is wealth advisory.

For the last decade my job hasn't been one-off sales. It's been a relationship that compounds: you grow the customer's results, that builds trust, and trust grows what they put back in. In ads that's media spend. In advisory it's AUM. The next dollar always comes from what you did with the last one.

The chapters
MAY 2016
First trade.
GetStocks. I was 22. I traded actively for two years before the platform went under in 2018.
2017
Joined Snapchat.
Revenue side of the business.
2020
Wealthsimple becomes my client.
Serviced Wealthsimple from London through lockdown as you initially onboarded and scaled paid acquisition on the platform. Saw the creative cycles, the audience builds, the cost-per-acquisition reality. Accepted a transfer to Toronto that year. COVID cancelled the move, but the relationship with the Canadian market stayed.
2021–2022
Manager, SMB EMEA at Snapchat.
Stepped into management. Scaled the EMEA team from 7 to 35 heads and delivered 100%+ YoY growth. Earlier in the Senior Client Partner chapter (2017 to 2021): won the first-ever Global Sales competition at Snapchat (#1 of 200+ sellers) and onboarded the largest customer in Snap EMEA history.
2022–2024
Manager, Product & Revenue Growth.
Product-facing chapter. Worked with Product teams to design and launch products focused on SMB segments, and launched treatments across Snap's sales teams to drive optimum customer set-up. Shipped multiple AI executions for the team: email outreach agents, meeting-prep agents, and a customer guidance hub powering the recommendation engine in-platform and through Salesforce.
2024–NOW
Global Head of SMB at Snapchat.
Full ownership of global SMB revenue, org design and performance. Lead a sales organization of 135+ sellers (FTEs and vendors) across 9 offices and 20+ key markets. Led the global expansion outside North America, growing the function 500% from ~25 people to 130+. Devised the segmentation and treatment program across five customer segments (eCommerce, mobile apps, lead gen, branding, agencies), driving 30%+ growth in net retained revenue. Across the broader career: managed hundreds of sellers and helped build dedicated sales orgs from scratch across the globe.
2022–2024
Cross-border operator.
UK rental property. Monthly contributions across UK ISAs, a US 401(k), GIAs at multiple brokerages, and crypto. Tax filings in multiple jurisdictions. RRSP, TFSA, FHSA, and ISA all in play.
2025
Polybacker.
Built polybacker.com as a personal project: a trading bot for prediction markets. Whale tracking, fee-drag analysis, arbitrage tools, copy-trading systems. Happy to demo it live in the interview.
2026
Automation work.
n8n, LangGraph, Python. A Facebook Ad Library scraper running in production at Snapchat for prospect work. Built the Pre-Meeting Brief from Q2 of this case as a working n8n prototype after reading the brief. Happy to walk through it.
TODAY
Why I'm here.
I serviced Wealthsimple from London in 2020 as one of my advertiser accounts during the lockdown ramp. I'd be a non-traditional hire for an advice role (sales rather than financial services), but the ten years of personal trading and the recent automation work bridge it.
